Mike has a deep cross-section of community experience and skills. He has worked in health and disability settings across Western Australia, community development management roles at local government, and private community engagement consultations.

Mike has significant experience in Aboriginal health and well-being, the justice system, mental health, alcohol and drug programming, and service provision.

Our Projects & Works

  • City of Fremantle - Community Development Coordinator managing staff and portfolios including Aboriginal Engagement, Recreation, Positive Ageing and Youth.

  • City of Fremantle - Establishment of Traditional Owners working group for facilitating improved communication between Elected Members and Whadjuk community.

  • City of Fremantle - Dual signage project for entry sites Wanju Whadjuk Boodjar/Welcome to Whadjuk Country. Responsible for liaising with the City’s Aboriginal community.

  • City of Fremantle - Project Manager for the establishment of the Walyalup Aboriginal Cultural Centre. Working with Whadjuk Traditional Owners and other Aboriginal community members to identify the location and purpose of an Aboriginal cultural centre.

  • The City of Rockingham Foreshore Revitalisation Project - Consulting with Gnarla Karla Boodjar Traditional Owners for input into the detailed design of the foreshore enhancements.

  • The National Trust - Mokidup/Ellensbrook activation project working with Wadandi- Bibbulmun Traditional Owners to identify cultural priorities and recommendations.

  • The Town of Cottesloe & City of Nedlands Access and Inclusion Plan - Working with hard-to-reach community members and other stakeholders to improve access across the LGA’s.

  • National Disability Insurance Scheme - Specialist Support Coordinator focussing on Aboriginal participants involved in the Justice system.

  • Shire of Dardanup Community Facilities Plan- Working with the Shire and Community groups to establish priority areas.

  • North Midlands Regional Club Development Plan - DLGSC grant working with sporting clubs in the shires of Morawa, Mingenew, Perenjori, Coorow, Carnamah and Three Springs.
